Adam Skelton, aged 18, has taken up an Modern Apprenticeship with DonnellyBentley. Adam from Blackburn joins the increasing number of students who are opting for apprenticeships over University. After studying for his ‘A’ levels in maths, biology and computing at St. Mary’s College in Blackburn, Adam began his search for a high quality apprenticeship in the accounting sector. He said:
“I wanted to get straight into work and was delighted when I was successful in my application to DonnellyBentley. The work is really interesting and I’ve already started day release. I go to Training 2000 in Blackburn to do my AAT qualifications and I’m really enjoying it.”
John Shaw, Managing Director, DonnellyBentley said:
“This is the second young recruit we have taken on using this modern route. It is very rewarding to be able to offer opportunities to young people and the apprenticeship scheme is an attractive option for both parties.”
Away from the office Adam balances his work life with his main hobby of road cycling.
