Businesses looking for workers can benefit from a new £7 million fund to create “new, flexible” apprenticeships, the Government announced on 3 August 2021.
A small number of agencies will set up new “flexi-job apprenticeships” to allow apprentices to work across several employers on a range of projects for at least a year.
The announcement comes after a £100,000 investment from the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to boost film and TV apprenticeships and reports the flagship kickstart scheme has managed to fill just over 36,000 roles out of the 100,000 that are currently available.
Gillian Keegan, minister for apprenticeships and skills said:
“We want to build an apprenticeship system that enables everyone to get the experience and knowledge they require to get the job they want, while ensuring employers have a diverse talent pipeline to meet their skills needs.”
